Privacy for the people.
Ad Blocker.
Browse freely.
BlockZeee is a free ad blocker for Chrome and Firefox. It stops YouTube ads, trackers, and fingerprinting scripts โ silently, before they reach you.
No subscription. No data collection. Just privacy.
The problem
Your ad blocker probably stopped working. You may not have noticed.
In late 2024, Chrome began disabling Manifest V2 extensions โ the architecture that powered uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and most of the blockers people relied on for a decade. By mid-2026, the last workarounds were gone. Millions of people are browsing today with a gray, disabled icon in their toolbar and no protection behind it.
The extensions that survived had to be rebuilt from scratch for Manifest V3 โ a stricter model with real tradeoffs, but one genuine upside: under MV3, the browser engine does the blocking, which means a properly built blocker never even sees your traffic.
BlockZeee wasn't ported to MV3. It was born there.
You're being tracked
Hundreds of invisible scripts record every click, scroll, and pause โ then sell that data to advertisers you've never heard of.
Ads stalk you
Look at a pair of shoes once and see ads for them everywhere for weeks. That's not a coincidence โ it's a surveillance system.
It slows everything down
Up to 40% of page load time is ad and tracker scripts loading. They drain your battery and eat your data โ without your permission.
Features
Eighteen protections. One extension.
Every one of them optional.
All 18, named โ turn any of them on or off in one click.
Blocking
Ad Blocking
100+ ad networks blocked at the browser-engine level โ video pre-rolls, overlays, banners, promoted feed items. Pages load cleaner and faster.
In plain English: Ads never even get downloaded, so pages load faster and you don't see them.
Under the hood: Uses the browser's own declarativeNetRequest engine with 100+ ad-network domain rules โ the browser blocks the request itself before it ever reaches the page.
Smart Ad Detection
Behavioral heuristics catch dynamically-rotating ad URLs that static blocklists miss on their own.
In plain English: Catches sneaky ads that change their web address every few minutes specifically to dodge blockers.
Under the hood: Runs behavioral heuristics on the page itself to catch dynamically-rotating ad URLs that a static blocklist can't keep up with, without touching normal video or script traffic.
CNAME Tracker Protection
Unmasks trackers disguised as first-party requests via CNAME cloaking โ a technique built to slip past ordinary blockers.
In plain English: Some trackers disguise themselves to look like they're part of the website you're on โ this unmasks and blocks them anyway.
Under the hood: Blocks known CNAME-cloaked tracker domains that use DNS tricks to appear first-party, closing off a technique specifically built to slip past ordinary ad blockers.
Telemetry Blocking
Blocks the invisible background reports websites send about your behavior to analytics and crash-reporting endpoints.
In plain English: Stops the site from quietly reporting your activity to outside analytics or crash-tracking companies.
Under the hood: Blocks known analytics and crash-reporting endpoints via declarativeNetRequest rules, kept separate from the ad and tracker lists.
Web Font Blocking
Blocks Google Fonts, Typekit, and FontAwesome CDN requests โ a common, quiet fingerprinting surface.
In plain English: Blocks requests to Google Fonts and similar services โ a subtle, lesser-known way sites can help identify your browser.
Under the hood: Blocks fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com, Typekit, and FontAwesome CDN requests at the network level.
Leak prevention
Fingerprint Protection
Adds subtle noise to canvas, audio, and hardware signals so your browser stops being a unique ID.
In plain English: Makes small, invisible changes to how your browser reports itself, so trackers can't build a unique "fingerprint" to follow you across sites.
Under the hood: Adds subtle, session-consistent noise to canvas/WebGL readbacks and audio/hardware API outputs, so the real underlying data never reaches the page.
WebRTC Leak Shield
Stops sites from discovering your real IP address, even behind a VPN.
In plain English: Even with a VPN on, some video-call technology can accidentally reveal your real location โ this closes that gap.
Under the hood: Filters WebRTC connection candidates in real time, only allowing relay candidates through and blocking the ones that would otherwise expose your real IP.
Referrer Trimming
Sites you click through to no longer learn exactly where you came from.
In plain English: When you click a link, the site you land on normally sees exactly where you came from โ this trims that down.
Under the hood: Strips or reduces the Referer header on cross-site requests via declarativeNetRequest header-modification rules.
UTM Stripping
Strips utm_*, fbclid, gclid, and 30+ more tracking parameters from every URL.
In plain English: Cleans the junk tracking codes out of links so they don't end up in your browsing history or in a link you share.
Under the hood: Rewrites the current URL and every on-page link, removing utm_*, fbclid, gclid, and 30+ other known tracking parameters.
Redirect Unwrapping
Skips the tracking hop on Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn redirect links โ straight to the real destination.
In plain English: Skips the hidden "tracking stop" some links make on the way to where you're actually going.
Under the hood: Decodes known tracking-redirect link formats and sends you straight to the real destination URL instead of bouncing through the tracker first.
Hygiene
Cookie Auto-Clean
Clears tracking cookies on tab close. Site-by-site exceptions keep you logged in where you choose.
In plain English: Deletes tracking cookies when you close a tab, so advertisers can't recognize you next time โ while letting you stay logged into sites you trust.
Under the hood: Clears a site's cookies when its last tab closes, with a domain whitelist so chosen sites keep you signed in.
Consent Banner Handling
Dismisses cookie pop-ups automatically โ and rejects non-essential tracking by default, never accepts it.
In plain English: Automatically dismisses those "we use cookies" pop-ups for you โ and always picks "reject," never "accept," on your behalf.
Under the hood: Detects major consent-platform banners (OneTrust, Cookiebot, TrustArc, and more) and clicks each one's Reject/Decline control if one exists; if not, it removes the banner without clicking anything.
Tracking Pixel Removal
Removes invisible 1ร1 tracking images embedded in pages before they can report back.
In plain English: Removes invisible 1-pixel images that exist purely to log that you viewed a page.
Under the hood: Scans the page for tiny (typically 1ร1) images matching known tracking-pixel patterns and removes them before they load.
Social iframe Blocking
Removes embedded tracker and social frames โ share buttons, chat widgets, and the like.
In plain English: Blocks the hidden trackers riding along inside "share" buttons and chat widgets embedded on pages.
Under the hood: Removes embedded iframes from 30+ known tracker, social, and chat-widget domains (Facebook, X, Drift, Intercom, session-recording tools, and more).
HTTPS Upgrade
Automatically prefers encrypted connections wherever the site supports them.
In plain English: Automatically switches to the secure, encrypted version of a site instead of the unencrypted one, wherever it's available.
Under the hood: Uses the browser's native upgradeScheme action to force HTTPโHTTPS on a curated list of sites known to support it.
Video Clean Mode
Blocks YouTube ads and hides short-form clips, sidebar recommendations, end cards, and autoplay on YouTube and other streaming sites. Disables the promoted clutter. Just the video.
In plain English: Blocks pre-roll, mid-roll, and overlay ads on YouTube, and strips out short-form clips, autoplay, end-card clutter, and sidebar recommendations on YouTube and other streaming sites so you just watch the video you clicked.
Under the hood: Removes YouTube's ad schedule before the player reads it, hides short-clip shelves and recommendation UI, and disables autoplay via targeted removal on supported video sites.
System
Blocklist Auto-Sync
Keeps tracker rules current with a daily EasyPrivacy fetch โ fully disclosed, no data attached. See how it works โ
In plain English: Keeps your tracker-blocking list up to date automatically, once a day, without ever sending anything about you.
Under the hood: Fetches the public EasyPrivacy filter list from easylist.to daily via a cached, conditional HTTP request โ no identifiers, no browsing data attached.
Battery Saver Mode
Automatically reduces background scanning when your laptop is running on battery.
In plain English: Eases off background scanning when your laptop is low on battery, so protection doesn't drain it faster.
Under the hood: Monitors the browser's Battery Status API and reduces scanning frequency when battery is below 20%, or below 40% while unplugged.
Every feature has its own switch โ turn any one off globally without touching the rest. If a specific site needs a full pass instead, whitelist it (this turns off all protection on that site, not just one feature).

How we compare
Respecting the tools that got us here.
BlockZeee exists because tools like uBlock Origin showed what was possible.
We've used uBlock Origin for years. So have countless people who care about a cleaner, faster, more private web. It protected users for more than a decade, and its developer's refusal to weaken the project for Manifest V3 was not a failure โ it was a principled stand.
We want to say thank you to everyone who helped make uBlock Origin what it became: the developers, contributors, filter-list maintainers, bug reporters, testers, educators, and millions of users who believed the web could be better.
BlockZeee is not here to erase that history. It is here to honor it โ and to keep pushing for privacy-focused browsing in 2026 and beyond.

Our promise
How we can't track you.
Most privacy tools ask you to trust them. We'd rather show you the architecture, because it does the trusting for us.
The browser does the blocking, not us.
BlockZeee hands Chrome and Firefox a list of blocking rules (declarativeNetRequest). The browser engine matches and blocks requests itself โ our code never receives the URLs you visit. This isn't a policy choice we could quietly reverse; it's how Manifest V3 works.
One outbound request, fully disclosed.
Once a day, BlockZeee fetches the public EasyPrivacy filter list from easylist.to so your protection stays current. That request carries a cached ETag and nothing else โ no ID, no browsing data, nothing about you. It goes to the EasyList project, not to us; we don't operate any servers at all. Don't want even that? Turn it off in Advanced settings and update lists manually.
No account, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting.
There is no code path in BlockZeee that transmits data to us. Zero. BlockZeee is independently built and privately maintained โ no VC funding, no corporate ownership, no conflict of interest.

FAQ
Common questions.
Yes โ whitelisting your password manager's domain is the fix, but know what it actually does first. BlockZeee's fingerprint protection randomizes browser signals that password managers use to recognize your device. Without whitelisting, your password manager may not recognize you and keep asking you to verify via email every time you log in.
Whitelisting a domain turns off everything BlockZeee does there โ ad blocking, tracker blocking, cookie cleaning, fingerprint protection, all of it โ not just the one signal causing the problem. For a password manager, that trade is an easy call: there's nothing to lose by unblocking lastpass.com or 1password.com. For a site that sends "new device detected" emails for another reason โ your bank, an exchange โ it's worth pausing on: is avoiding an occasional re-verification worth turning off tracker and ad blocking there too? Some people prefer to just re-verify instead of whitelisting anything sensitive.
- Click the BlockZeee shield icon in your toolbar
- Go to the Whitelist tab
- Type the domain (e.g.
lastpass.com,1password.com) and click Add
Whitelisting is currently all-or-nothing per site โ there's no way yet to keep tracker blocking on while only turning off fingerprint protection. That's a real limitation, not by design; a more granular, per-feature whitelist is on our list.
Turn off Cookie Cleaning. BlockZeee's cookie cleaning feature automatically deletes cookies when you close a tab โ which includes the login cookies that keep you signed in. When you reopen the site, it has no record of you and asks you to log in again.
- Click the BlockZeee shield icon in your toolbar
- Go to the Settings tab
- Toggle Cookie Cleaning off
Everything else โ ad blocking, tracker blocking, fingerprint protection โ keeps running. Only cookie deletion is disabled.
Alternatively, if you only want to stay logged into one specific site, add it to the Whitelist tab instead. That disables all BlockZeee features on that site only.
Click the BlockZeee shield โ hit Pause Protection. If the site works after that, click the Whitelist tab and add the domain. Protection resumes automatically on every other site.
It makes your browser faster. Ad and tracker scripts are blocked before they download, which removes 20โ40% of the data a typical webpage loads. Pages render quicker and use less memory.
No. BlockZeee runs entirely inside your browser and never sends your passwords, browsing history, or any other personal data anywhere. It has no server, no account system, and no analytics. The one exception is a non-personal filter-list download used to keep blocking rules current (see our Privacy Policy) โ it contains no data about you or your browsing. Everything else stays on your device.
Yes. BlockZeee blocks YouTube ads โ pre-roll, mid-roll, and overlay โ along with ads and sponsored content on other streaming and video sites, without touching the video player itself. Videos play normally, just without the ads and promoted clutter in your feed.
No catch. No ads inside the extension, no selling your data, no premium tier. Just free, forever. We built this because we were tired of being tracked โ same reason you're here.
